Police said Magnum Phillips tried to grab an officer's gun after refusing commands to drop a knife during a confrontation at a mobile home park. The gun fired and Phillips was killed. The officer was responding to a report of a domestic disturbance. Neighbors said Phillips had been arguing with his partner.
