The officer involved was dispatched to the 4200 block of East Jackson Street on a report of a threat. Police would not elaborate on the nature of the threat. Police say an altercation between the officer and Storm Allen Smith, 26, occurred. A foot pursuit and a struggle ensued between the two. Smith obtained the officer's Taser and aimed it at him. The officer shot and killed Smith.
