Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and a SWAT unit were called to the 7-Eleven on Little Rock Road after a gunman barricaded himself in the store around 3 a.m. Officer Olin Lester with the SWAT team shot and killed Sylasone Ackhavong during the standoff after he raised a gun at officers, police said.
