Suicide

Douglas County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a disturbance with shots fired on Happy Valley Road. When deputies arrived, they found a woman in the driveway with a gunshot wound. The shooter was reported to be on foot in the area, and as police attended to the injured woman, the suspect reportedly fired a shot at police. Police returned fire, and the suspect was later found dead. The preliminary indication at the scene was that the man had died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
