Police said they were called out to a report of shots fired at the Pisgah View Apartments. They attempted to stop a man who was driving away and who was later found at the Deaverview Apartments. Police said a female passenger in Williams' other appeared to be struggling and she called for help when the other stopped at the apartment complex. Williams allegedly made a threat to Sgt. Tyler Radford and displayed a weapon, who then shot and killed him.
