Deadly force

The sheriff's office received a report from a relative of a disorderly subject damaging items inside his home. As the deputy arrived, Wood advanced on the deputy with a knife near the front doorway. The subject was told by the deputy to drop the knife but failed to comply, and he was shot and killed.
