Sheriff's Deputies Zach Leviner and Tom Lee, and Precinct 6 Constable's Deputy Ross Jordan, responded to a disturbance call at a house regarding Jeffcoat. Jeffcoat's stepfather told deputies that Jeffcoat was mentally ill. Deputies entered the residence and found Jeffcoat laying next to a broken syringe. He was unconscious and wedged under a pile of furniture. Deputies called EMS. EMS responded. Jeffcoat stopped breathing in the ambulance.
