Deadly force

Police say they responded to a report of a theft from a gun store. The suspect had reportedly been looking at firearms, and ran from the store with a semi-automatic pistol, before getting on a bicycle. Officers followed a tip call to the suspect's location. The caller indicated that the suspect appeared to have a handgun in his back pocket. Wyoming Public Safety Officer Chad Wells made contact with the suspect, who reached for his gun and pointed it at the officer, who shot and killed him.
