Deputies were called to the area 10-miles up Logan Canyon to check the welfare of an individual who had been making suicidal threats. Deputies made contact with the man who was reportedly pointing a gun at a woman. He did not respond to commands to drop the weapon and made a threatening motion with the weapon, at which point the deputy shot and killed him.
