Deadly force
Fort Wayne police responded to a domestic dispute. They said when officers arrived a man grabbed a young child and barricaded himself inside the residence. The woman escaped. Eventually his actions made police feel the child was in immediate danger, and they shot and killed Schroeder. The child was not hurt.
