Deputies were doing a welfare check on Davis. Allegedly, the pregnant woman had a gun and two children nearby and was shot and killed when she pointed the gun at deputies. In August 2021, King County agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle a civil rights and wrongful death lawsuit.
