Deadly force
Deputies responded to a residence to try to de-escalate a domestic situation where one of the family members was mentally ill. Upon arrival, the deputies spoke with the caller and were then confronted by the other family member who had a weapon and charged at one of the deputies. Dorough was shot and killed.
