Bulloch County and Effingham County deputies were serving a bench warrant to a 52-year-old man at a residence near Highway 119 and Olney Station Drive. The man ran away to an abandoned home nearby, where deputies noticed he had a long gun. When the man did not lower his weapon, more than one deputy shot and killed him.
