Police were dispatched to find a man barricaded inside a residence and armed with a handgun in Port Charlotte. Robert Barrett, 39, fled. He barricaded himself inside another home and still armed. After several hours, police found a man inside the home with what appeared to be a self-inflicted fatal gunshot.
