An officer responded to a reported shooting at the Knollwood Crossing apartments. When Officer Steven McFall, 41, arrived on scene he was confronted by an armed male, Michael Wilson-Salzl. He was armed with a butcher knife, advanced upon the officer, and brandished the weapon. McFall shot and killed him.
