Deadly force
Police stopped a black Chevy Camaro for an invalid license plate, but the driver sped off. Police later noticed the car parked with its lights off at 21st and Adams streets. When they approached, the driver sped off, then lost control of his car and hit a fence, a tree, and an officer's car. When two officers on foot approached the car, it drove in their general direction and one officer fired his weapon, killing Jesus Del Toro. Police alleged vehicular assault.
