Off-duty Chicago police officer Taylor Clark was being pursued by police before being killed in a crash that also killed Chequita Adams, police said. The Civilian Office of Police Accountability recommended that Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson fire Chicago Police Officer Jamie Jawor for not using the lights and sirens on her police other as she and her partner were pursuing Clark. Chicago taxpayers will spend $4.9 million for Adams' wrongful death.
