Barber County Sheriff's Office received a call around 6:30 p.m. about a man threatening people with a gun outside a bar. The man left before deputies arrived. Deputies searched several locations and found him in a shed. When the man came out of the shed, he did not comply with orders from the deputies. One deputy shot him with a beanbag round, killing him. That officer, Undersheriff Virgil "Dusty" Brewer, ws later charged with involuntary manslaughter.
