At 7:40 p.m., Pocatello police were called to Homer Drive. Police called for additional support to deal with a man inside the residence with a gun. Bannock County Sheriff's Office deputies responded. At some time during the incident, a Bannock County deputy shot and killed Lawrence McClellon, although details as to what led to the killing were withheld by police.
