Jarvis Lykes was fleeing from a DUI checkpoint when he was killed by a Georgia State Patrol trooper at the dead end of Lumpkin Court, police said. While a gun was alleged to have been found in the other, it was not reported that Lykes was near it when he was shot and killed.
