Deputies were called out to the Hill Country Motel after receiving reports that Shana Musquiz was trying to take a child from the child's parent. A deputy arrived and told her to hand over the child. Musquiz allegedly grabbed a gun from her car and fired at the deputy. The deputy shot and killed Musquiz.
