Suicide
A deputy on patrol on Highway 60 saw an allegedly speeding car, which he tried to pull over. The car failed to stop and the deputy chased it. The pursuit lasted approximately 10 minutes before it came to an end at the James River on Highway 14 at Delaware Town when the driver drove the car off the bridge.
