Pursuit

Kentucky State Police troopers began pursuing the motorhome that intentionally ran through barriers and construction barrels on Ky. 21 and drove onto I-75 in Berea, police said. The driver, John McCoy, refused to stop and continued traveling south toward an I-75 construction site where workers were setting bridge beams for a reconstruction project. Police were using a rolling roadblock to bring the motor home to a stop when McCoy intentionally struck a police other. He continued traveling southbound toward an overpass, which was blocked with heavy construction equipment. McCoy struck two construction sky lifts head on, engulfing the motorhome in flames, and killing McCoy.
