Deadly force
Police were called for a person in danger of harming themselves. When officers arrived, they say a garage door opened and a 2012 Honda Odyssey minivan pulled out. Police said the car rapidly moved in the general direction of responding officers, and Officer Clayton Jenison shot and killed John Albers. Investigations showed much of the police narrative was false, and Jenison was at no point threatened by the other, and the minivan left the garage at a normal speed. The FBI opened the civil rights investigation in September 2020.
