Harrison County Sheriff's deputies and the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team had a tip Ernie Lizana was near the 2800 block of 23rd Avenue. When they went there before 1 a.m., Lizana ran and started shooting. He was shot and killed. Lizana was wanted on an aggravated assault charge because officers believed he shot a woman in the throat.
