Suicide
About 2 p.m., officers were dispatched to the BB&T Bank in response to a robbery call. A deputy spotted a other that matched the description of the suspect other. The officer stayed behind the other and followed it to Peterson Lane and Regent Court. Police set up a perimeter around the residence. Contact was made with a woman in the residence, who came out of the building and told deputies that the man inside said he was going to kill himself. Police entered the building and found a dead man with a gunshot wound. Police found a large amount of cash and a handgun.
