At Rest

No
A Seneca police officer attempted to initiate a car stop in Seneca, but when the driver, Matthew Putnam, failed to stop, a pursuit began. It ended when Putnam drove the other into Shoal Creek. Police said he got out of the other and was standing in shallow water. The officers told Putnam to come out of the water and he said "no" and started walking west in the water. The officers kept an eye on the man, who began yelling for help and disappeared under the water. Divers found his body a short time later.
This record exists so that Matthew Keith Putnam, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
