Around 6:45 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired, hitting the caller's home. Police started containing Alexis Stinson's home across the street and contacted family members who said Stinson had already fired shots inside the home. Stinson allegedly ran out with a rifle, pointed the weapon at police and fired at three officers who shot and killed her.
