At Rest

Pursuit
In the early evening, police received reports of a car driving "erratically" in Millcreek but the driver eluded police. At 1 a.m. police spotted the car parked with five people in it and approached it on foot. Driver Casey Cook-Ziemelis , 18, allegedly fled at high speed and "intentionally" struck another car, killing Ziemelis's passenger Nevaeh Padilla. Ziemelis was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, a third degree felony, and one charge of automobile homicide negligence (DUI of alcohol and/or drugs), which is a second-degree felony.
This record exists so that Nevaeh Padilla, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
