Around 9:10 p.m., an officer responded to reports of a hit and run. When police caught up with a man believed to be the driver, he allegedly threatened the officer with a knife, then went into an apartment. Officers followed him into the second-story apartment and shot and killed him when he allegedly lunged at an officer with the knife.
