Omar Magana was arrested after an alleged robbery spree and pre-booked into jail. While he was handcuffed to a bench, he began contorting his body and appeared to have a stroke. Two police officers accompanied by two EMTs took Magana to the hospital for a CT scan. After the scan, when officers attempted to put the cuffs back on, Magana violently resisted, and both officers struggled to hold his arms down. Magana attempted to rip one officer's gun from its holster. The other officer shot Magana 3 times, killing him. The officers were cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.
