Deadly force
Officer Brandon Potts dressed in civilian clothes and accompanied by an off-duty officer, responded to an armed burglary call and encountered Daniel A. Fuller. As Potts was holding Fuller at gunpoint and attempting to arrest him, a struggle ensued. The officer struck Fuller several times in the head with his handgun, and then the gun went off, killing the unarmed Fuller. Potts shooting was justified, and he's suing the department for firing him after the shooting.
