William "T.J." T. Jefferson McCollum had allegedly threatened people with a gun, then ran from police when they attempted to stop him. McCollum eluded police in three separate high speed chases before stopping at a convenience store. An officer just coming on duty spotted McCollum and attempted to apprehend him. McCollum pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at the officer, who shot and killed McCollum. DA did not charge officer.
