Kenneth Edwin Martell allegedly went to the home of 88-year-old Theodore Garver to rob him, but killed him and then forced three people at gunpoint to help him get rid of the body in a pond, according to police. A police officer encountered Martell sleeping in his car. Before the officer could ID him, Martell pulled a handgun, and they fought for control. Martel allegedly pulled a second handgun. A second officer arrived and shot and killed Martell.
