Officers were serving a temporary restraining order to Gavalynn Mahuka. Police said he fired shots from a shotgun after barricading himself inside his home for close to eight hours. Near the end of the standoff, Mahuka shot and wounded and officer and a police dog. The other officers present shot and killed Mahuka.
