Gilbert A. Snowden shot his wife four times inside their home in Upper Chichester. Snowden fled and was spotted by police in Lower Chichester at a rest stop on I-95. A chase began. The pursuit ended at the Platt Bridge when Snowden smashed into barriers and police vehicles and shot and killed himself.
