Charlie "Lee" Hodges allegedly shot and wounded Walter Thompson, 68, shortly before 5:30 p.m., police said. Deputies found Hodges barricaded inside his home. But several hours of negotiation ended with Hodges shooting at deputies and being shot and killed.
