Kimberly Gunderson and Kenneth and Sheryl Carpentier were riding in a truck around 1 a.m. when a man allegedly driving a stolen SUV rammed into them. All three were killed. Minnesota state troopers were chasing the driver, 18-year-old Dayquan Jayru Hodge. Hodge was charged with criminal vehicular homicide and four counts of criminal vehicular operation for the injuries suffered by the teens in the SUV he was driving.
