Officers responding to a report of a fight where two people had been injured by gunfire encountered Patrick Kimmons running away from the fight and toward them with a revolver in his hand. Kimmons ignored commands to disarm and was shot 12 times by the two officers, who were later cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.
