At Rest

Deadly force
A Native American man, Venson Kee Yazzie, was at the Bear Ears national monument collecting rocks when he got into an altercation with National Park Service ranger. Yazzie was allegedly armed with a knife, and the ranger shot and killed him. Details as to what precipitated the killing continue to be withheld by police.
This record exists so that Venson Kee Yazzie, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
