Christopher William Parrish allegedly tried to start a fight outside a store, police stopped him driving away in a pickup truck. Parrish became agitated and fled, crashing in a field, where he continued to flee on foot. Parrish then reversed course, picked up a softball-sized rock and advanced upon the officers. One officer tried to taser Parrish to no effect. Both officers shot and fired a total of five times, killing Parrish.
