Medical staff at California Pacific Medical Center Mission Bernal Campus summoned police officers, who were already at the hospital for an unrelated matter, "for assistance with a person." During their encounter, Christopher Kliment became incapacitated. Kliment was brought into the emergency room for treatment, hospitalized, and died two days later, police said.
