An officer saw someone on a 2012 Kawasaki ZX1400E motorcycle allegedly speeding at about 2:30 a.m., according to police. Police clocked the motorcyclist at about 66 mph in a 45 mph zone and tried pulling the driver over. The motorcyclist fled, and the officer reportedly stopped the chase. Moments later, police said the motorcyclist crashed into the back of a 2012 Toyota Camry and was thrown off the bike for about 250 feet, killing the driver.
