A deputy was traveling in an unmarked car when he spotted Josiah Pinner's friend crossing the street. He said he swerved to avoid the friend, only to hit Josiah instead. Deputy Philip J. Montesi was allegedly going 21 mph over the speed limit when he killed the boy.
