Leslie K. Austin instigated a high-speed chase from Missouri to Illinois and committed suicide with a self-inflicted gunshot during his standoff with police. During the chase Austin attempted to carjack a other, where he allegedly shot and killed the car's driver, 67-year-old Gregory Price.
