According to police, an officer tried to stop a suspicious other whose driver, 34-year-old Kevin Vargas, was engaged in an apparent road-rage incident. The driver refused to stop and a brief pursuit ensued, during which Vargas allegedly tried to ram at least three patrol cars. The chase ended when Vargas plowed into an another other, setting that other on fire and killing Isaias Cruz.
