At approximately 10 a.m., DC Police was alerted of a stolen white van. Officers saw the stolen van and attempted to stop it. The driver, Robert Earl Little Jr., 25, fled. Little failed to stop at a red light and struck a blue Hyundai but continued to travel westbound, where he crossed over the double yellow lines and struck and killed a cyclist, Dave Salovesh, and then struck a tree. Little was charged with second-degree murder and unauthorized use of a motor other.
