The chase started after a traffic stop in Farmington Hills where a Farmington Hills police officer tried to stop the other for a traffic violation. The other fled at a high rate of speed. Police said the chase was ended before the other crashed into a pole, killing the driver, Mathew Mercado, 36, and passenger, Jazmene Glynn, 24.
