Suicide
Mark Garniss was found dead in his apartment after police followed him home. According to the LaGrange Police Department, Garniss was the suspect in a bank robbery at a Regions Bank in Oxford, Alabama. Police obtained a description of the other and tag number and led Newnan police to Garniss' at the Stillwood Farms apartments around 1 p.m. Police began surveilling the apartment. Garniss walked out his apartment, saw police and then went back inside. Police then heard a gunshot and entered the apartment, where they found Garniss dead from a self-inflicted gunshot.
