Officers Christopher Biese and Paul Christensen shot and killed Ruben Houston, 47, when he exchanged shots with officers. Appleton firefighter Mitchell Lundgaard, 36, was shot and killed. A bystander, Brittany L. Schowalter, 30, was also shot and wounded. It was not reported immediately who fired the shots that killed Lundgaard and wounded Schowalter.
